Boomer Intellectualism #14
Hi there,
I didn’t work at all today and felt bad but realized it’s a part of life. Sometimes you work and sometimes you don’t. The only thing that I am doing today is to write this newsletter and publish a post on my Instagram. The former now holds a special value for me. I never thought I will be doing this for this long although it has only been 4 or 5 months but that also is a lot to me. And one funny thing I would like to share is: I said: “park your car inside my dick“ to a bunch of folks in cars. Their way of parking, or placing , their car in the middle of the road was very irritating. So yeah that’s my rationalization for not being nice to strangers.
I am observing that I am not consuming articles or essays these days; so there is nothing that can be read in a short time. But there are a bunch of things you can listen to if you don’t have much time although I will do recommend you to take out some time from your day and read a book and it will be beneficial if you will read it at night. Your retention rate will also increase plus there are some evidence that reading at least 30 pages of a book in night decreases your chance of getting Alzheimer. For more benefits check this out.
Songs/Artist/Playlist Recommendation :
International Villager : Fuck yeah! The legend honey singh himself is now in the recommendation list. Before this week, I had never listened to this whole album. Maybe I had listened to some of the famous songs of the album but not all of them. Honey paaji best.
1nonlymix : This thing is fire. It is a playlist recommended by Spotify to me and it’s amazing. I was listening to this today when I was in the gym and I was working out like a beast although I was feeling my arms a bit rigid but then I asked someone in the gym and he told me it’s normal. I don’t know the science behind my arms getting rigid because of the workout maybe it can be the case that they are getting constricted by heavy lifting.
Natiq : He makes the best lowkey music in underground delhi rap scene. Check him out if you are from India and you love desi underground rap. Although, he does not rap but I am definitely sure that you will love his music.
Poems Recommendation :
The Proof Of Worth by Edgar Albert Guest
On The Necessity Of Sadness by Mikael de Lara Co
Mad Girl's Love Song by Sylvia Plath
Consummation of Grief by Charles Bukowski
I never want to explain poems because it has different meaning for everyone.
Book recommendation :
I never liked you : A book on average teenage life. I was able to resonate with it to some degree but as the protagonist was getting into adolescence I was loosing touch with his personality and his life incidents. Maybe because I never had too many friends in my teenage life and now also I don’t have friends.
Consuming Instinct : I didn’t read the whole so I am not in the position to explain you what this is about but if you are interested in evolutionary psychology give this book a read.
Podcast Recommendation :
Conversation Tricks From An FBI Negotiation Trainer | Mark Goulston - MP Podcast #115
Abandon Ideology | Gad Saad - The Jordan B. Peterson Podcast #S4E6
If you want the notes of these podcast let me know I will start uploading them from next week onwards.
This is all for this week. I think this was a pretty heavy newsletter but the plus point is you will look forward to every single day to consume things, you found interesting in the newsletter.
Bye.
