Boomer Intellectualism #15
Hi there,
This past week I was working on a very stressful project which because of my hard work turned out pretty quite well and everybody in my team is quite satisfied and delighted with the first draft of the project.
Besides my project, I was also consuming everything possible that I like. If I don’t like something I don’t waste my time on it because there is so much little time I have on this planet and I better use it in a way to develop virtues that can be beneficial to the whole human race. In a narrow sense, what I do in a day doesn’t seem like it can change the world but if I zoom out a little bit everything that I do makes perfect sense. To become good at something, you have to do it persistently for a considerable period of time.
Songs/Artist/Playlist Recommendation :
lofi/sleep - It’s available on SoundCloud so you don’t have to worry about ads plus you can just play this in the browser, no need to download an additional app. It is relaxing and good when you are working especially if you want a quite environment.
No cap - It’s a song by KR$HNA, a famous Indian rapper, and it’s amazing. Although the fundamental meaning of the song is just like any other hip hop song.
One Direction - Although I don’t listen to pop bands, this was different maybe because it is suggested by someone whom I am trying to be friends with or it’s really good. Check it out and also let me know. I don’t listen to pop much.
Podcast Recommendation :
How Artists Think | Tammy Peterson, Juliette Fogra, and Cesar Santos - Mikhaila Peterson Podcast #75
Book Recommendation :
Thus spoke Zarathustra - A hard to define book. One thing that stuck with me after reading the book : Be so good at something that it cannot be labeled by any word on this planet.
White Nights - Finally something that is too much relatable for me. Every word said in this book felt like it was me who is saying all this to the people whom I am close to and desperate for a friendly talk. I also sometimes after meeting with a friend thinks about it for hours and feel overjoyed remembering that interaction.
This is all for this week. It’s not much but I will try to give you more recommendations next week.
Goodbye.
