Boomer Intellectualism #9
Hi there,
Christmas is around the corner and frankly speaking I can’t believe I passed 2021 so effortlessly. I remember in the beginning I was having a pretty tough time with myself: figuring out my best self, finding my individuality, who am I without my peers, how can I make myself more rational and clever. At the end of July, I bought my first ever workstation although I do had one before but it was not mine technically speaking. I was so excited to work 8 hours a day. I remember planning my day and goals, relentlessly working on them, and finally now I can say I have somewhat found my individuality and starting again to socialize with my comrades. I have started to experiment in my city on how I can socialize just like how westerners do, and I will be sharing all the strategies and tactics that I did to become an extroverted introvert.
This week I have so much to share from every domain.
Artist/Playlist/Song Recommendation :
Pink Floyd - I don’t remember whether I have recommended Pink Floyd before or not but you know what it doesn’t matter. They deserve all the praise they get; I don’t think so rock culture is overrated at all especially in India. In third world countries, people gravitate more towards their own cultural music like Bollywood which I personally think that they are making some real absurd songs these days. I like the 90s song made in Bollywood industry; I like the vibe of those songs and surprisingly they help me initiate a topic with elder people.
Rock sad existence - A playlist made me if you want to cry out on your mere fact of existing in this big universe where you don’t matter from your own opinions and world view of the world.
Movies Recommendation :
Matrix - I think everybody has watched this movie. The origin of red pill vs blue pill meme or sometimes a notion made by philosophers. I watched this movie just 4 hours ago. At first, I was a little confused about what is happening in the movie, what is the purpose of the hero’s life in this movie , and felt a little disgusted by the colors of the movie I don’t know why.
Articles Recommendation :
The Art of Brewing Historical Beers - Hops only became a popular brewing ingredient around the 16th century. Prior to that, European brewers flavored their beers with mixtures of spices and herbs like lavender and heather.
This style of unhopped, herbaceous beer is now known as gruit. Based on gruit recipes from the Middle Ages, Cambridge Brewing Company’s Heather Ale is flavored with locally-harvested heather, lavender, sweet gale, and yarrow.
It’s sweet and a little funky in aroma and flavor, almost like a farmhouse ale, but without the peppery dryness of most saisons. At only 5 percent alcohol, it’s nicely light and refreshing.
Book Recommendation :
Panzram - It is an autobiography of Carl Panzram who was a murderer, rapist, and an arsonist. For me it was really fascinating to see a mindset of a criminal and how he went from being a small little naive child to a bloody monster. It is a must-read if you like some absurd shit.
Videos Recommendation :
Australian Great Bower Bird Building Bower Nest in 4K - In this video there is a bird, bower bird, who is trying to make a nest so he can impress female bower bird.
This is it for this week and I will see you now on the last day of this year.
Happy Christmas
